My contract's up next month, and I'm probably getting on of these sims instead of a new contract. Contemplating getting a tablet pc too.
Their cheapest phone sim is £10 a month, and gives unlimited internet. They also do data only sims (marketed for tablets), the closest match gives 3GB data for £12.50.
Now, what is the point in these data only sims? If you're getting free internet on a phone sim, the data only sims seem utterly redundant. They push them as sims for tablets, but I don't see any reason why a phone sim wouldn't work in a tablet or dongle, giving a much better deal.
Am I wrong here? Can anyone enlighten me.

So basically they are o2 without the customer support?
They even suggest cutting down the sim cards to fit iphone microsims, class.

What is the difference in 'unlimited data' between the data/phone sims?
It may only be 500MB for the phone sim even though it is technically marked as 'unlimited'...?

Who the fuck uses 500MB of data a month?
Even if you were using it for email every day and on spankwire every night you would never go near that.

I've checked and I use well over a gig a month. I can be streaming and browsing for a combined 10 hours a day at work though.
The phone sims do say "truly unlimited'. It's why I was asking in the first place. I suppose I'm just not looking at it from another perspective, and it's mainly data I want for my phone, because I use it heavily for media at work. I barely ever text or call, hence the reason I'm thinking about just getting a tablet instead, and keeping the old phone.
