Has Stube shut down in Shawlands? There's a sign in the window saying they're closed for repairs. I always thought they were fucked for cashflow as they consistently ran out of stock and there was a period when they couldn't accept cards which is pretty much a sign of being fucked as far as I know.
Gutted if it is as the pizzas are magic.

I'm happy enough just using the ones in town. Usually just go to the Granary for food and a pint up that way.

Was dead and depressing, couldnt get out quick enough. I had never been before but the missus said it hadnt changed a bit since she was last in about 4 years ago.

Thick based , hugely over cheesed and topped pizzas last nite in deepest Ayshur after a squash match against the most heavilly tatooed team in Scotland. Treble cheese and HUGE medallions of cheap pepperoni. Treble cheese with a thick layer of cherry red tandoori chicken. Treble cheese and an overload of spicy peppers. Freezer chups. Nae salt or tommy k. A surprising ... 9/10

It's a shame, because it used to be great. Used to go there all the time.

The fact they don't have any heating was always a cunt in winter.

Went to "The Canteen" on Pollokshaws Rd on Saturday for lunch after reading about it in that new Southside magazine Sogo. It looks a bit like a greasy spoon, which it used to be, but the food is best described as comfort food. Think macaroni cheese, mince and tatties, stovies etc. She had baked spud with tuna which was very good. I had Welsh Rarebit which was superb. Lunch for two plus a couple of drinks was only about £12 which is cracking value. Going to try the newly opened The Bungo tonight which is from the same folk as The Left Bank and The Two Figs www.thebungo.co.uk/
